Curtis Carlson Nelson is a dedicated member of the Travel Business Roundtable, a trade organization established in 1995 to expand upon the momentum of the White House Conference on Travel and Tourism. TBR is a part of the U.S. Travel Association, a national, non-profit organization representing all components of the travel industry from air travel to ground travel and beyond. As a part of the U.S. Travel Association, the Travel Business Roundtable aims to increase the amount of travel occurring to the United States as well as within the United States. By promoting the freedom to travel, Curtis Carlson Nelson and the other board members of the Travel Business Roundtable help to improve the nation’s economy, create new jobs and security, and establish a positive image of American culture and what it is like to travel around the U.S.
Curtis Carlson Nelson is also on the Executive Committee of the World Travel & Tourism Council in Washington, D.C. The WTTC is made up of esteemed members of the global business community and works with governments around the world to raise awareness about the travel and tourism industry. The World Travel and Tourism Council was established in the 1980s as a forum to discuss the travel and tourism industry and the necessity for an increased rate of data relating to the importance of what some believed was a non-essential industry.
